ALL OF MY COOKBOOKS

All the cool kids have their own publishing imprints, so I came up with my own. After some research, I concluded that using one’s name is not a fantastic idea. Many authors appear to use actual locations, or other words that have some specific or sentimental meaning. I hemmed and hawed and decided that “Multitudes” referenced the Walt Whitman poem on my page “A Culinary Collection,” which perfectly describes all the interests near and dear to me. All my current (and future, I hope…) publications will be listed here.

The links below will arrive at my Etsy store, where you can order a signed paperback edition with free domestic shipping.

It took nearly eight years, but my quirky, comfort food cookbook has finally been published in a tangible form!

Cooking for Halflings & Monsters: 111 Comfy, Cozy Recipes for Fantasy-Loving Souls was published in 2017. Here’s the back blurb:

“In Cooking for Halflings & Monsters: 111 Comfy, Cozy Recipes for Fantasy-Loving Souls, Tolkien scholar Astrid Tuttle Winegar has created ‘eleventy-one’ original recipes to inspire you. Lovingly illustrated and written with dry humor throughout, this charming cookbook is sure to delight you and your family, friends, and any other lucky halflings (or monsters) who show up in your kitchen. So crack open a beer, rustle up some “Gündürnüb’s Grüb,” and come along on this epic culinary journey. Your quest for delicious recipes is complete!

The eight chapters of this cookbook each imagines a restaurant (inn, café, or bistro) which caters to particular archetypal characters in the fantasy genre and presents a delicious meal for them. But don’t worry—you don’t have to be a gourmet monster chef! You simply need to love comfort food to enjoy all the recipes within.”
